Cathy Vogt
Cathy, the founder of A Natural Chef, is based in the Hudson Valley of New York in the USA. Cathy is a board-certified health counsellor, professional whole foods chef and Buteyko Breathing Specialist.
With over 30 years of experience working and teaching in professional kitchens, Cathy has seen first-hand how people abuse their bodies and health. They skip meals, exist on processed foods diets, drink diet sodas to control their weight, and eat on the go, every day.
Delicious, healthy whole foods prepared with love, intention, and care to nourish each client’s needs are her passion. Her mission is: “to support and educate clients in cultivating new nourishment and lifestyle habits to take control of their health.” It is not only about what we eat, but also about how we eat it. What and how we eat also affects our breathing.
Most of us think the foundation of our health is our diet. Well, at some stage, Cathy thought this as well. Being a professional chef educated in health-supportive nutrition, she made a point of eating very well! But for some reason, the diet was not enough to control her asthma. At one point in her journey, she could not even walk from the couch to the bathroom without having an asthma attack.
It turned out her breathing habits were making her sick! Sasha Yakovleva, together with her late husband Thomas, saved Cathy’s life by teaching her to breathe healthily. This was the missing link that led to integrated healing. Cathy works with clients to implement eating and lifestyle habits that support healthy breathing. Breathing is the foundation of everything! Start with a solid foundation of healthy breathing, as nature intended.
